ParkWhiz seeks a Senior Data Analyst who will help transform data collected from our platform into actionable information. We know our data holds immense value and want to use it to gain insights that will improve our business and provide our customers and partners with an even better experience. This role will report directly into our COO, support the entirety of the executive team, and have significant impact across the organization.
What You'll Do Right Away:
- Extract knowledge and actionable information from multiple data sources
- Assume ownership of pricing models
- Define attributes for customer and opeator success (or failure) and build the model to identify risk
- Work with disparate data sources (first and third party) - extracting knowledge and actionable information from massive datasets
- Develop algorithms focused on customer and partner behaviors
What You'll Always Do:
- Continuously learn new approaches in machine learning and feature extraction techniques
- Mine data for issues and unidentified wins, then automate and develop tools around that
- Constantly strive for a deeper understanding of our business drivers
- Convey your work and results to a wide variety of stakeholders - nerds and non-nerds
- Offer insight to all aspects of the organization - product, marketing, engineering and finance
- Education demonstrating a mixture of math, statistics and engineering
- You aren't afraid of coding, probably like it. Python, R, or your personal fave
- Comfort in a complex data environment
- Strong familiarity with MySQL
- Experience in transactional and data warehouse environments (Postgres, Redshift) with a track record of bringing order to raw data
- Ability to extract data without support from a Data Engineer
- Familiarity with statistical computations, predictive analytics and data visualization
- A love for insights, innate curiosity, and a deep desire to find ways to create value
- You like to formulate the right questions versus just seeking answers to make sure the best and smartest decisions get made
