Senior Engagement Manager

CityBase creates technology to make government more personal and responsive. We work with municipalities, agencies, and utilities to integrate their business processes and citizen interactions onto a central, cloud-based platform accessible through multiple channels, including web, mobile, kiosk, and point-of-sale.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engagement Manager in Chicago to lead partner and client relationships and ensure the successful implementation and adoption of a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for government interactions. You are responsible for providing excellent client service, serving as a point of escalation during the project management and implementation phase, and helping to identify new opportunities to add value within a project. You are known for your ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively, and foster culture change with a variety of stakeholders. You will liaise between clients and their stakeholders, and the project team and your manager.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings and communicate regularly with clients to build relationship, understand strategic goals, monitor satisfaction, and anticipate future needs.
- Collaborate with CityBase sales, project management, product development, and client support teams to ensure strategic alignment, drive platform innovation, and capture market opportunity.
- Document and report details of client interactions and assist in the development of case studies.
- Build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders in the Indianapolis region including elected officials, govtech leaders, and universities and research organizations to elevate civic engagement and capacity for future engagement.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of client management experience with business applications and/or digital services; entrepreneurial experience preferred
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
- BA/BS in business, engineering, economics, technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Open to relocation
- Demonstrated strength in maintaining positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders in complex situations; utility and/or public sector experience preferred
- Skilled at communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Energized by solving problems and finding opportunities to make customers successful
- Professional, with strong work ethic and collaborative style
- Strong process orientation and excellent verbal and written communication skills
