This position requires a service-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills, ensuring responsiveness in a timely matter. In addition to these duties the Facilities Associate will work on special projects.


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Perform daily walk-through of facility and premises to assure orderliness and proper condition. Be alert for lighting, marks on walls or floors, items out of order, cleanliness of areas/rooms, general appearance, and maintenance issues.

  • Maintain furniture, appliances, doors, hardware, and wall surfaces as needed. Liaise with building management on tasks requiring building maintenance.

  • Maintain inventory of all basic kitchen and office supplies. Organize and stock supplies in the Mailroom, kitchen(s) and supply closets in an orderly manner. Provide inventory reports to manager so orders can be placed.

  • Replace syrup and CO2 in soda fountains and freestyle machine.

  • Assist with all on and off site events (set up, tear down, etc)

  • Ensure that meeting rooms are clean, well-stocked and orderly on a daily basis. Coordinate with the appropriate administrative assistant to ensure items are cleaned after a meeting.

  • Respond to various inquiries requests or complaints in a professional manner. Assist employees in resolving concerns.

  • Assist with moves. This includes moving of employee items as well as small tables.

  • Sort and distribute in-coming mail and packages as needed.

  • Work with building management to arrange for deliveries.

  • Be available to meet vendors and delivery personnel before and after work hours to conform with Building rules and regulations to accept deliveries.

  • Maintain all storage rooms and area and keep an updated inventory list of contents.

  • Any other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

  • Special projects as assigned.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize work.

  • Highly reliable and flexible work schedule as needed (infrequent work on the weekends/before or after hours may be required).


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3-5 years of experience in a facilities or related role 

  • Must be able to lift/carry 30 - 50 lbs. regularly

  • Must be energetic, proactive, have a positive attitude, be willing to work with others and have excellent interpersonal skills.

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
