 The primary responsibilities for this position will be to serve as system administrator for Groupon’s cloud-based financial planning solution (Anaplan), and to support the global finance organization’s use of this tool. In addition, this role will provide systems based assistance for Groupon’s cloud-based consolidations & financial reporting tool. This role will report to the Manager of Consolidations & Corporate Accounting and be based in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with global finance and accounting teams to best leverage the capabilities of Anaplan. This position will play a major role in designing and developing Anaplan’s infrastructure to meet the needs of the user base
  • Act as first point of contact for Anaplan system administrative support for global finance teams. Responsibilities will include environment management, performance optimization, upgrade testing, user provisioning & access, and meta data maintenance
  • Ensure that complete, accurate and timely financial information is transferred to and from Anaplan
  • Support the global finance teams through monthly forecast submission cycle
  • Provide regular updates on issues arising from end user experiences to management
  • Project enhancements on the Consolidations model, space reductions, test cases, and data validation
  • Collaborate with users to define and adopt component, architectural and operational standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience supporting financial applications; Net Suite, SnapLogic, Blackline, Workiva.  A mix of accounting and/or finance is a plus
  • Experience in design and implementation of cloud-based financial tools; preferably Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Tidemark or similar
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a must
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing and growing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities and keep stakeholders informed on progress
  • Experience working with remote employees in different time zones (Asia, Europe, West Coast) is highly desirable
