Senior Internet Marketing Consultant, SEO
Rise Interactive (http://www.riseinteractive.com), a rapidly growing full service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire a Senior Internet Marketing Consultant, SEO. We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly motivated and tenacious individual that is excited about getting involved in an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.
Summary and Scope
The Senior Internet Marketing Consultant, SEO is responsible for driving their group’s search engine optimization and link building strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will have experience balancing multiple tasks and deadlines while executing SEO and Link Building strategy to deliver and surpass client expectations. This role requires the ability to operate on both strategic and tactical level with a desire to drive efficient client campaign results.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding regarding SEO and Link Building best practices and elements that influence rankings in organic search results. The Senior Internet Marketing Consultant, SEO must have strong analytical skills along with the ability to look at metrics in a variety of ways to help find trends and actionable insights. He/She must have the desire to expand professional SEO and Link Building skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
SEO/Link Building Knowledge
- Knowledge of SEO and Link building methods and best practices
- Provide execution-based SEO and Link Building recommendations
- Ability to optimize various site elements, site structure, architecture, linking and content, and to ensure that new releases and enhancements meet SEO requirements
- Provide structured site analysis, develop recommendations, evaluate site architecture, implement ongoing keyword generation, create search-friendly content, develop link-building strategies, maintain clients’ blog optimization, evaluate market analysis, and metrics-driven SEO for all assigned clientele
- Optimize web and mobile sites for traditional search, real-time localized mobile search, and video / image search
- Possess strong internet research skills with the ability to find and compile interesting and relevant content for blogs, news items, photos, videos, etc.
- Drive link building services and develop new strategies
- Develop and cultivate links from multiple methods
- Write optimized copy and content for client web sites
- Assist Account Manager with ad hoc request for support
- Willing to go above and beyond the call of duty for the client and deliver excellent service
Goal Setting and Reporting
- Responsible for weekly and monthly SEO and Link Building reporting
- Responsible for setting goals/targets for team per client
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness and ROI of all SEO and Link Building activities
- A quantitative approach to traffic measurement and engagement, and experience with collecting and interpreting site visitor statistics
- Deep experience and comfort in working with web analytics suites such as Omniture, Webtrends, CoreMetrics, or Google Analytics
Management:
- Manage tactical SEO initiatives for the Client’s business; maintains a focus that deliverables and plans are in line with client’s long term goals
- Manages team resources and assigns responsibilities / initiatives to team members
- Ensures team delivers on assignments and team goals

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing and/or Business
- 4+ years progressive SEO experience, preferably in an agency or high growth professional services organization
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build and manage relationships with key stakeholders
- Basic Understanding of technical SEO (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, HTML 4 and 5, JSON, iframes, etc.)
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems
- Familiarity with SEO platforms and tools such as Brightedge and Screaming Frog preferred
- Experience in Local / Video / Feed optimization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required in order to work with junior and senior level co-workers and clients
