About the Role:
Braintree is looking to add a full-stack Senior Product Designer to our growing team. You’re comfortable jumping between wireframes, visual mockups and code. You’re passionate about user experience and want to make someone’s day better via your design work. You have a portfolio of varied product work that demonstrates strong, user-centered experience design, solid user flows and that special sauce that makes everything you design a joy to use.

You’ll be building the software used to process payments by such high-growth companies as Uber, Airbnb, and Dropbox.

About Design at Braintree:

We’re a team of just over 10 Designers split between Chicago and San Francisco. We work closely with (and are a part of) the Braintree Product Team (Product Managers, Front-End Developers, Back-end Developers) building and iterating on several products. Our design team cares just as much about how our product works as how it looks and we ship often and iterate until it’s perfect.

Responsibilities:

• Designing experiences that are both functional and elegant

• Writing production quality HTML & CSS

• Working with the rest of the design team to help elevate design at Braintree

• Communicate design thinking throughout the organization

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience as a Product Designer

• As comfortable with Front-End (HTML & CSS) as you are with Sketch

• You’ve designed and committed code to a Product that has shipped

• Experience working in large code bases with version control

• A passion for UX and understanding of complex user flows
