    THE ROLE:

    The Product Owner is a true connoisseur of our business: understanding each team and its impact on the company, the problems we face, and the potential solutions that we can build to improve our core key performance indicators. The Product Owner is not just a problem solver, but a problem finder; someone who proactively seeks out potential problems to solve and their relative impacts on the company should we solve them. The Product Owner truly owns the product: building a Vision, Roadmap and Backlog for future development that deliver viable, usable and feasible solution for the end user. We are looking for agile team leaders with the right balance of qualitative and quantitative skillsets to create an achieve their visions, building better experiences for internal users and customers alike.

    Job Description:

    THE RESPONSIBLITIES:

    • Develop a product Vision, showing the future impact of your product and its effect on the company
    • Build and maintain a prioritized Product Roadmap aligned to your Vision, showing the company how you are going to make your Vision a reality by creating features within your product
    • Lead an Agile development team through both Discovery and Execution, creating using stories and executing your backlog
    • Create product strategies and apply data to make informed business decisions
    • Gain a fundamental understanding of the full user experience, understanding critical paths and dependencies from your key stakeholders
    • Communicate the product features with business partners, focusing on the direct impact on the business KPIs
    • Lead, manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, business partners and stakeholders to improve your product
    • Collaborate with developers on the product team to build a core platform that can be utilized throughout the organization
    • Prioritize capabilities that benefit the varying needs of users across a heterogenous organization

    THE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree  
    • ~7 years of experience in customer-facing, technology related business as a product owner or developer within an Agile environment
    • Proven success developing business cases, roadmaps, product execution strategies
    • Proven success tracking impact of product releases with data, showing ROI metrics and movement across company KPIs
    • Demonstrated ability to work across an organization, incorporating feedback from internal stakeholders within Operations, Finance, Marketing and Sales
    • Strong communicator (both written and oral), and comfortable in front of varying audiences from engineer to C-level executive -- including tailoring the level of detail for the audience
    • Excellent time management skills and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Our Chicago office is located in River West on the North Branch of the Chicago River. We have free shuttles to major train stations and CTA lines.
