Position Requirements:

Industry Experience:

  • 3+ years of web application project management experience required

  • Experience working with budgets of $50,000 or more

  • 5 years overall project management experience

  • Drupal CMS knowledge a plus

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong Interpersonal skills: self-motivated, well-organized, multi-tasker, analytical with a strong attention to detail

  • Team Player: Flexible and willing to work with different personality and working styles

Leadership Skills:

  • Ability to guide clients accordingly to new web technologies

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive on-going client relationships

  • Comfortable driving team and pushing back when necessary

  • Ability to assess project risk

  • Experience managing a diverse team of developers and designers

Day to Day Responsibility:

  • Enforces the Duo Spiral methodology process

  • Lead team estimation and planning resulting in project plan creation

  • Identifies and secures resources weekly (internal & contract as needed)

  • Manages day to day project operations

  • Provides quality oversight on deliverables prior to client submission

  • Builds and motivates teams through individual team interaction to maximize potential, and mentors resources

Communication:

  • Serves as the primary day-to-day client and team contact for the project

  • Facilitates client working sessions and leads recurring project status meetings

  • Ability to set and manage client expectations

  • Keeps both client and team well informed of relevant project updates, decisions, actions, issues, and risks

Financial Management:

  • Responsible for project accounting with weekly client status delivered

  • Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, billing, and resource utilization

  • Experience executing T&M as well as estimated Statements of Service

  • Assist in the practice of Open-Book Management (concept by Jack Stack)

  • Responsible for time reporting and assist in client invoicing

  • Tracks project progress vs. plan

Business Development:

  • Ability to grow existing client relationships resulting in on-going project work

  • Identifies business development ‘add-on’ sales opportunities at the current client

  • Develops trusted advisor relationships with clients long term

Functional Experience:

  • Experience in team requirements gathering and strategies for achieving client business goals

  • Experience managing and executing testing/Quality Assurance, communicating test status, and managing the resolution of defects

  • Understands the elements of User Experience and the application and benefits of a User-Centered Design process in the delivery of solutions

  • Maintains a leading edge understanding of new technologies and their potential application to client base
