Title: Senior Recruiter

Location: Chicago, IL

Type: Full-time

Reports to: Director of Recruiting

Experience: Mid-Level

About us:

Trunk Club (www.trunkclub.com) was started to solve a simple problem – shopping for clothes in stores or online just doesn’t work for most guys. It’s overwhelming, inconvenient, and takes way too much time. With Trunk Club, guys discover awesome clothes that are perfect for them without ever having to go shopping. We combine top brands, expert service, and unparalleled convenience to deliver a highly personalized experience that helps guys look their best.

We start by scouring the planet for the very best in men’s apparel, curating an ever-evolving assortment of pieces from our favorite designers. With the best inventory anywhere as our point of departure, a Stylist on our team hand-selects a trunk of items based on each customer’s needs and tastes. They keep what they love and send the rest right back to us, at no cost to them.

Our team is based in Chicago, IL and has grown to over 1000 employees since starting out in December 2009. We recently joined the Nordstrom family and have locations in Washington, DC, New York City, Dallas, TX, and Los Angeles, CA.

About the Recruiting Team:

We are a close knit and lean team focused on finding the best talent and providing the best possible experience for all prospective candidates. In a sales driven organization, we are responsible for sourcing Stylists/Sales Representatives who will make an impact, build a book of business, and thrive in a performance based environment. Close to 70% of our hires are referrals or self-sourced candidates, which means we are highly proactive in nature and constantly thinking of fresh recruiting ideas. We act as business partners to hiring managers within each clubhouse to assist in all of their recruiting needs. With an increasing growth rate and no signs of slowing down, be prepared to take on an exciting challenge with significant opportunity for growth!

Things you would be responsible for:

  • Work closely with the Director of Recruiting to hunt sales talent primarily in our Chicago region, as well as in our expansion clubhouses

  • Partner with our sales leadership team to identify sourcing opportunities within the region to create a sourcing calendar

  • Manage our midwestern campus recruiting efforts, including planning, execution, and traveling to local campuses

  • Track and screen a large volume of candidates, seek out and proactively identify quality talent, work with our Recruiting Coordinator, lead interview discussions, and provide solid recommendations for hiring decisions

  • Conduct informational interviews with prospective employees and referrals

  • Actively create innovative recruiting solutions

  • Attend local career fairs and events in order to increase brand awareness and attract high quality candidates

Here’s what your background looks like:

  • You have 4-8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in sales on both the agency and client side

  • Track record of success in sourcing sales candidates – post and pray does not exist at Trunk Club!

  • You are outgoing, eager, and social and love taking advantage of events in the city

  • Excellent communication skills and the desire to build great interpersonal relationships

  • Proactive problem-solver capable of identifying issues and generating solutions

  • Outstanding organizational skills, can work independently, and a close attention to detail

  • Flexibility to deal with last minute changes, the ability to remain calm under pressure, comfortable working with minimal direction

You’ll probably be happy here if:

  • You love working collaboratively

  • You thrive in fast paced environments

  • You are high energy and low ego

  • You’re comfortable giving feedback and receiving constructive criticism

  • You have a positive open attitude and a desire to have fun
