Rise Interactive (http://www.riseinteractive.com), a rapidly growing full-service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire an Senior Search Development Engineer (PPC/SEO). We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated individual that is excited about getting involved in an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.

A Senior Search Development Engineer will be responsible for working with Search Innovation Team to execute on strategic innovation initiatives geared toward driving operational efficiencies within the SEO and PPC teams. The role will place a heavy focus on creating and developing custom solutions to automate and improve team processes while enabling the team to operate at a larger scale and greater complexity.

As this is a non-standard development role, a large emphasis will be placed upon building frameworks to algorithmically optimize client accounts and develop complex reporting solutions through ad serving platforms’ API client libraries. The ideal candidate will have a understanding of the entire stack and working knowledge of system/application design in order to help develop a wide variety of approaches to creating programmatic end-to-end solutions.

• Develop tools/scripts using Python to generate custom reports and execute operations via APIs of various ad-serving platforms (AdWords, Bing, Yahoo)
• Identify and create automated solutions to improve efficiency and error rates across Search team processes
• Coordinate operations with other in-house development teams to manage rate limits and forge best practices
• Operate comfortably with cloud-based servers/computational environments
• Utilize strong analytical/statistical modeling skills to extract insights from large datasets in order to support thought leadership and/or process improvement
• Act as part of a scrum-based agile product development team
• Help set and follow coding standards within the Search Innovation team
• Aid in the estimation of client projects and determining scope of client engagements
• Aid in development and optimization of development processes to bring efficiencies to the team

• Background in computer science, engineering, and/or applied sciences
• 3+ years of software development experience in similar role
• Extremely strong scripting abilities in Python and Javascript
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs
• Experience with Amazon Computational Web Services and other cloud-based server solutions
• Experience with source control (Git, SVN, TFS) and bug tracking software
• Familiarity with Amazon RedShift or other cloud-based data warehouse services
• Experience working w/ Jr. Engineers or Outsourced Developers

• Test-driven development and Agile experience is a plus
• General familiarity with digital marketing, especially Paid Search and SEO, is preferred, but not required

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Able to work with minimal supervision, while maintaining focus and productivity
