Job Description and Requirements:
5+ years of experience programming with modern web development frameworks like Rails, Django, Zend, Symfony, Laravel, etc.
 
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

• Minimum 5 years’ experience developing enterprise SaaS applications
• OO expert using at least one scripting language (e.g. PHP, Python, Ruby)
• Extensive experience with at least one modern MVC web development framework (e.g. Symfony 2, Rails)
• Competent with Javascript and event-driven programming
• Strong understanding of how MySQL (or similar RDBMS) tackles queries along with how to optimize them
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Familiar with various code and data caching mechanisms
• Excellent understanding of the plumbing that makes the web work
• Appreciate the difference between crafting code versus writing it
• Experience developing software in an Agile environment, with excellent estimation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must – ability to use English to explain technical problems and solutions
