BLUE Software is a well-established enterprise software company and the market leader in our leader. We are looking for well-spoken, project leaders to add to our business consulting practice in Chicago, IL.

We're hiring a Senior Software Project Manager. You will be responsible for managing enterprise software implementations to ensure our clients' goals are met, and ensuring a smooth transition as our clients implement our software. We're looking for an excellent communicator and presenter who can lead our consulting engagements to solve clients' business challenges. You'll be in charge of tracking and communicating project statuses internally and externally. You will be the primary client contact, and you'll work with all project resources to deliver and achieve project success. You should be an experienced team leader, and you should know your way around project management standard methodologies, knowledge, skills, and techniques.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Successfully leading client implementations to achieve client and company objectives and results
  • Project communications
  • Compliance with established Software Implementation Life Cycle (SILC) methodologies and quality controls
  • Client relationship management and customer satisfaction
  • Risk Mitigation, Actions and Issues Management
  • Project financials


In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage efforts to plan, design and implement enterprise SaaS Software solutions for clients.
  • Ensure all project landmarks, deliverables, deadlines and requirements are managed through delivery to Production Go Live.
  • Collaborate with all BLUE implementation staff in person, virtually and internationally as required
  • Plan effective post implementation transition with the Account Services and Service Desk teams
  • Provide Project Status Reports and Change Requests to our clients and to our team
  • Resolve any issues impeding successful on time implementation and communicate critical issues as required.
  • Assign ownership, establish due dates, manage progress, and report completion dates and/or current status
  • Manage larger client deployments, developing strategic goals across regions and business units with the client’s senior level management
  • Identify, acquire and nurture key relationships with new clients in order to diversify the company’s current portfolio
  • Drive the success of customer implementations, and act as the project lead contact to ensure that the project exceeds client expectations
  • Ensure all billing, expenses, WIP and accruals are prepared and delivered on time for each project; prepare and provide clients with actual vs. budget projection status reports  
  • Ensure monthly project invoices are accurate, complete and match budget reports; manage the project budget and scope including resources time review, project expenses and client billing
  • May assist Business Development with Professional Services project estimates including the implementation plan and project or program costs

You'll do best if you:

  • Appreciate and follow new technologies in document management and workflow environment.
  • Have experience applying methodologies and/or tools to produce integrated solutions that meet business needs.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office products; including MS Project, SharePoint and the ability to learn new software products.
  • Have experience with project management using structured methodologies.
  • Possess business analyst or application design skills.
  • Have 3-5 years' experience in Management Consulting (Big 5 preferred).
  • Have a good grasp of financial management.
  • Have the ability to travel up to 50%
