What we are looking for:
We are actively recruiting for a senior speech scientist to work on directed dialog, conversational speech and natural language applications for IVR and other applications.
We believe that all voice interactions have a special power to create great customer experiences even when those interactions are with automated systems. Automated voice experiences should be intuitive and efficient while maintaining a personal feel. Creating these kinds of experiences is both an art and a science and requires people with intuition, creativity and an ability to imagine many different user perspectives. We’d like to add a certain kind of person to our team, a person that:

What you’ll be doing:
This senior team member works with other engineering staff to analyze application data, run speech recognition optimization experiments, create analytical reports of application performance, identify application performance problems, and makes recommendations to resolve them. He or she will understand speech recognition engines and be able to apply speech science to optimize recognition. He or she will supervise tuning transcription teams and conduct grammar and parameter tuning.
What we need to see from you:
- BS or MS in relevant major (Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Engineering, Machine Learning, etc. )
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with IVRs
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Experience with industry standard speech recognition systems
- Experience with Statistical Analysis
- Scripting Language
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - including presentation skills
- Strong analytical background and proven ability to make data-driven decisions
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English
- Spanish a plus.
