The Position:
InContext Solutions is looking to hire a Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing Technology and Market Research company headquartered in downtown Chicago. Reporting directly to the Controller and working closely with senior management, this is a great growth opportunity for the right individual.
Responsibilities:
Day to day, he/she will work with the Controller to handle a number of important duties. This staff accountant’s responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance of various balance sheet reconciliations and monthly journal entries
- Oversight of daily bank transactions
- Management of Purchasing requests
- Review of Salesforce Opportunities for proper documentation
- Setup and processing of Sales Orders in Intacct accounting system
- AP data entry and payments
- AR collections
- Documentation preparation for bank and annual financial audits
- Ad hoc projects and reports as they arise

- BS/BA in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong proficiency with MS Excel and ability to quickly learn new software
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to problem solve

- Proficiency with Salesforce, Intacct, other GL systems, etc.
- Public accounting experience
- Start-up experience
