Our Senior Technical Instructional Designer designs and develops learning and development programs for CSG International software product offerings and applications. The target audiences for these programs include client and internal end users and system administrators. Solution Training offers the ability to telecommute 1-2 days per week.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Collaborates with stakeholders (including clients, internal business owners, SMEs and end users) to identify the most effective method for delivering technical training content
• Designs and develops technical training for classroom-based training, virtual classroom-based training, online training courses, and blended learning using Adobe Captivate, Microsoft Office products or other applicable software
• Collaborates with end users to define and identify business procedures and establish course content.  Also collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to collect and interpret information
• Reviews and interprets technical documentation and existing course materials for the purpose of developing instructional materials
• Translates learning outcomes into appropriate learning activities and assessments
• Designs and develops innovative approaches to delivering learning content
• Acts independently to determine training approach for assigned CSG solutions
• Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for developing training
• Works independently on multiple projects simultaneously under aggressive deadlines
• Acts as a project manager for internal project teams
• Develops positive relationships with stakeholders and team members
• Actively develops CSG product knowledge
• Networks with key contacts in Development and other company functions to gather feedback on product enhancements and training deliverables
• Works closely with CSG trainers on delivery approach and implementation of training materials
• Delivers training as needed
   

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Ability to design technical training materials for a variety of audiences, understanding and applying adult learning principles
• Experience developing technical training for operating systems, servers and databases (Ex: developing training for Linux operating systems, Oracle databases, etc.)
• Technical aptitude with the ability to work closely and communicate with network engineers to take complex technical concepts and translate them to layman terms for a non-expert to understand
• Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise text
• Ability to conceptualize and develop learning for back-end architecture and interfaces
• Understanding of back-end systems and how they work together
• Experience using the ADDIE or SAM instructional design methodologies required
• Proficient with eLearning content authoring tools, particularly Adobe Captivate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to apply professional concepts to resolve issues
• Excellent organizational skills, including ability to consistently adhere to multiple deadlines and frequently changing workload
• Ability to work independently, delivering accurate information under deadline pressure
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in starting and stopping servers a plus
• Experience developing mobile learning and micro-learning a plus
• Experience in Computer Science and Telecom Billing domain a plus
