Senior UX Designer
As Senior UX Designer, you will take the lead to architect and design user interfaces for a variety of organizations. We engage closely with clients to understand what they want to accomplish through their website, and then work with our own developers and designers to bring those ideas to life. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for leading user experience workshops with a diverse set of clients. You'll define design goals that achieve business goals. You will utilize all available skills from your UX/UI tool belt, especially user research, information architecture, prototyping, and usability testing.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about user experience, has a solid portfolio of live sites and apps, and knows how to work mobile first in an atomic design approach. We love portfolios that demonstrate a love of color and type.
What you’ll be doing:- Consulting with clients to define and document their business requirements
- Defining user goals and requirements by conducting user research, developing questionnaires, conducting user interviews, performing secondary research, etc.
- Mentoring other members on the UX team
- Creating personas, user scenarios, user journey maps and wireframes
- Developing sitemaps and prototypes at various levels of fidelity
- Collaborating closely with all members of our internal team to ensure our applications and websites provide the best user experience possible
We want someone who:
- Has 4-5 years of experience working in a professional, full-time design role
- Has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the creative arts, Digital Media, Human and Computer Interaction, etc. or equivalent work experience
- Works often with prototyping tools like Axure, Pixate, Framer, Form, Atomic, or Invision
- Has experience planning and leading design workshops with clients and end users
- Enjoys working with developers to understand technology requirements and capabilities as they relate to UX
- Can effectively communicate design decisions to team members and clients
- Can defend their design choices in a positive manner, but also knows when to compromise
- Is proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of prototyping in code (HTML/CSS/JS) is a great bonus
