Strategy

  • Understand the clients business fully - in terms of marketing need and in terms of how they make money, who their consumers are and what makes these clients and their consumers tick.
  • Offer logical thinking – exceed expectation by giving clear insights into how we can solve their problems. Offer ways of applying the technology and communication techniques you know of to arrive at clear solutions to complex problems.
  • Offer expertise – understand WHY what we do is effective and vocalize this clearly to a client. Explain that our strategic approach works and has been proven historically. Give the bigger picture.

Creativity

  • Ideas inspired by insight.
  • Nimble thinking – new ideas that feel fresh and innovative in how we use social media.
  • Problem-solving – nimble solutions for complex problems.
  • Offer inspiration – give new ideas when they’re not even asked for. Suggest sites, books, ideas the client should know about and inspire your team with new thinking every day.

Delivery

  • Know what the client needs before they know themselves. Thinking in 3, 6 and 12-month bursts. Plan ahead and see the opportunities for our existing or potential new clients before anybody else does.
  • Team management – keep the rest of the Socialyse team informed, excited and up to speed too. Share best practice and bright thinking as broadly as possible.

SPECIFIC CONTENT OF YOUR ROLE

The nature of Socialyse’s business requires a high level of flexibility, common sense and versatility. While the specific content of your role is clearly defined, the nature of the demands placed on us and the creativity of our campaigns means that the role will evolve over time and needs a ‘can do’ approach to picking projects up and managing well to make them happen. As a key player, you also need to be prepared to go beyond the call of duty to deliver for your clients and for the business as a whole.

This role is to act as an expert such that you drive value from clients insisting we work with them because of the knowledge you bring to the table. That might mean being impressive yourself in the room or it could mean generating such compelling ideas and insights that the rest of the team can confidently go out and sell those.

Your expertise should cross the range of social media ideas, tools and opportunities that are out there – an infinite number.

  • Analytics & Data – you need to know where we can go for information and understand how to interpret data we find there.
  • Social Platforms – you need to be abreast of changes and possibilities – advising the team and clients on best practice and ways business and consumers are using these technologies. Detailed knowledge of social technologies.
  • Outreach & Influence – have a clear understanding of the dynamics of influencer outreach, how we go about approaching them so you can interpret strategies that make this more effective
  • An understanding of the mobile and technology landscape per se is required and how brands are using these
  • An appetite for and interest in a range of client sectors so you can turn your knowledge into useful application across any client we have – you must be well and widely read.
  • Forward thinking involvement with the mobile / technology community as well as the social media network of professionals. You need to be a great networker and know who to call or mail for anything in the social media world
  • A leading role in the generation of new ideas for all our clients on an ad hoc and ‘to brief’ basis.
  • Building a strong relationship with a range of internal clients within the Havas network as well as great client facing skills is also required

Some of the key day-to-day duties include:

  • Develop and deliver client programs in line with agreed objectives and strategy which set high standards of creativity and efficacy.
  • Write effective and clear proposals, presentations and reports both for internal and external use with clarity and creativity.
  • Liaise with outside agencies and co-ordinate work
  • Manage the time and workload of your team and agency colleagues so that plans are delivered on time without too much pressure on any staff
  • Democratically and clearly communicate with and manage other members of the team with patience.
  • Manage and nurture all client relationships within your remit
