BlackEdge is seeking highly qualified individuals to join the team. The software developer will work closely with traders and our existing development team in the creation of new trading software and tools. Responsibilities of a software developer include communicate effectively and interface with a diverse group of end-users across multiple disciplines., drive the development and delivery of various front-office applications spanning various asset classes, enhance and maintain the large codebase of these systems, and work with traders to gather development requirements and ensure stable deployment of software.

Requirements:

• Four year Computer Science, Math, or Engineering degree
• Minimum 3.5 GPA
• Strong quantitative skills
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in intense, team based situations
• Thorough understanding of object-oriented (C++ or C# preferred) programming and software development
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
• Availability to work 50-60 hours per week with occasional weekends
• Prefer knowledge of financial markets in a volatility based domain
• Prefer working knowledge of multi threading and socket programming
