Job Summary

We are looking for a software engineer experienced in building web sites and applications using C#, Rails, Python, Java or Node.js. The developer will be part of our agile software development team that creates and maintains Web sites and applications viewed on multiple platforms including desktops, smart phones, and tablets.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

- Must have 3+ years experience with C#, Rails, Python, Java or Node.js

- Strong Knowledge of unit and integration testing

- Outstanding performance tuning and troubleshooting skills required.

- Strong knowledge of RESTful web services.

- Strong knowledge of software development patterns, OOD

- Working knowledge of Angular, Backbone, Knockoutjs or equivalent frameworks

- Ability to produce efficient, clean code that is maintainable and resilient.

- Full understanding of the complete HTTP Request/Response life cycle (headers, caching, cross-domain policies and restrictions) required.

- Capable of working independently and ability to execute under the direction of technical leadership.

- Ability to accurately estimate timelines for development projects.

- Have an analytical mind and the ability to delve into detail, but also have an interest in broader business issues.

- Strong communications skills, both written and oral.

- Exhibits an understanding of the business goals; recognizes the client needs and links needs to specific development solutions.

- Understanding of continuous integration

- Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases

- Design and code technical solutions for Web sites, Tablets, and mobile devices

- Identify and document technical trends and incorporate innovative uses of technology.

- Interact with clients, vendors, and partners to design solutions, and respond to client issues.

- Create detailed specifications and documentation for proposed and current technical solutions.

Education & Business Experience

College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent work experience.

A minimum of 2-4 years software development experience working in a complex environment.
