Location

This candidate should be able to work out of our downtown Chicago office. We are conveniently located in River North close to public transit.

Responsibilities

• Make sure the testing is well defined, planned and executed
• Ensure that every phase and feature of the solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live
• Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data and data validation
• Work with product and development teams to extract test scenarios from business requirements
• Evaluate and document results of manual and automated tests
• Collaborate closely with the development group to promote software quality standards
• Work with the product and support teams to replicate customer issues and application use cases
• Work in an Agile methodology environment where innovation, teamwork and creativity are the key for success
• Defect tracking, logging, reporting, and trend analysis

Requirements

• Ability to develop and execute manual and automated tests for complex web applications
• Strong ability to solve complex problems in a systematic and organized way
• Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements/test plans
• Experience developing and maintaining formal test documentation and reports
• Willingness to learn new things
• Bachelor degree is desired
• Experience with any of the following is a plus: Salesforce, Selenium, Robot Framework, Browserstack, SOAP and REST API testing, JIRA

Ideal candidate

We are looking for a self-starter who is capable writing and conducting advanced tests, demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail. Candidates need to have solid understanding of web applications and surrounding technologies. Our current staff is small and thus you must be very self-sufficient. You must be able to fully understand the ins and outs of our application, how it works, and can pick up a book or online tutorial and teach yourself when something unknown comes your way.
