Position Description 

The Senior Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for leading and executing activities involving identifying the appropriate business and technology stakeholders for the Customer Data Quality function by working with Data Quality and Data Strategy Leadership.  The Senior Data Quality Analyst will leverage the methodology and tools to identify, analyze and investigate data issues.

 

In addition, this role will manage the process for communication with stakeholders, executing and validating the data quality and data analysis approach and participating in the data investigation workshops. Training and education on the methodology and approaches will be provided as a part of the onboarding process.

 

The Senior Data Quality Analyst is the responsible party for facilitating and leading data quality and data profiling aspects of the process described above.  For each critical system asset the process can range from between 10 and 30 stakeholders at any given point of the lifecycle and may involve Architects, analysts, business stakeholders, mid-level management and line level business experts

 

- Continuous Improvement – Analysis work to review current manual or workflow activities and tasks performed by people, functional areas, and systems which are designed to achieve a specific outcome, while assuring transparent measurement of data quality/integrity.  Understands relationships, information exchanges/handoffs, procedures, policies, and observations of work performed to achieve specific outcomes. Within the context of the relationship with the business, assures alignment for continuous improvement within the business landscape.

 

  • Leading Data Profile Analyses
  • Facilitating Data Profiling and Data Quality Analysis Sessions
  • Organization of resources to design, define implement, consolidate and refine the outputs of Data Profiling and Data Quality Analysis Sessions
  • Management and communication of quality metrics, observations and outcomes to Data Quality leadership and core team members
  • Detailed data investigation and analysis of known data quality issues
  • Lead efforts in root cause analysis and issue resolution options
  • Management of presentation for data quality outputs scoring and data profiling results
  • Administration of collaboration and knowledge sharing of Customer  Data Quality across the enterprise
  • Participates in other projects as they pertain to the needs of the position.
  • Monitors and suggests process improvements for all tasks.
  • Although this role will not have any direct reports reporting into the role this role will have indirect responsibility leading the data quality team. 

Position Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years experience in an data profiling and/or data quality role is required
  • 3+ years experience with a data profiling toolset like IBM Information Analyzer, Informatica IDQ, etc.
  • 5+ years experience in data environments
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Leadership of small core teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Very strong profiling skills (must be able to create profiles with the assistance of a data profiling toolset and manually in SQL
  • Experience with Visio, Sharepoint and MS Project
  • Experience with at least 2 Data Profiling/Quality toolsets
  • Commitment to some local travel will be required
  • Experience with an ETL Framework and/or toolset
