As a Sr. DevOps Engineer at higi, you would experience working with a highly-skilled team of engineers using C# .Net, Objective-C/Swift, Java and web technologies in an agile environment.  The Sr. DevOps Engineer will contribute to developing the next-generation IT automation and efficiency technologies and not be afraid of the challenges that may arise when developing these new technologies.  The Sr. DevOps Engineer would primarily work on maintaining and expanding a continuous integration environment which includes all aspects from the Build Server to Production, and assist Development, QA, and Operations in any problems that arise.

The successful Sr. DevOps Engineer will also possess practical experience in normal operations technologies within both a Windows environment and a public cloud-based environment.  This includes everything from networking, servers, routers, firewalls, etc.  The Sr. DevOps Engineer should also have an understanding of core Windows Server technologies such as Active Directory, Domain Administration, etc.

Major Responsibilities

·         Release Management

o   Maintain a Release Document that displays versions by package for each release.

o   Keep a list of items needed to roll back to a previous version.

·         Configuration Management

o   Manage the configuration of each higi application and service on a server VM, cloud service or kiosk.

·         Troubleshooting

o   Enable logging, compile results and review/evaluate errors and discrepancies.

o   Diagnose and/or Debug problems that arise in the Test/UAT/Production environments.

·         Build and Deployment

o   Move/Deploy code from environment to environment.

·         Automation

o   Automate processes to improve efficiency.

o   Create scripts and tools as necessary (Powershell/SQL/C#)

Essential Skills

·         Solid C# .Net DevOps experience

·         Exposure within an Agile Development team

·         Solid understanding of automated testing and continuous integration techniques

·         Strong database understanding (SQL Server) with some SQL scripting skills

·         Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills (ex. Debug a program on a server)

·         Development with SQL Server (2008/2012)

·         Experience with Virtualization technologies (Citrix XenServer, VMWare)

·         Public cloud services (AWS or Microsoft Azure)

·         Windows Server 2008R2 (2012 a plus)

·         DNS, TCP/IP, Networking, Firewalls
