The software that powers our 10 year old company has grown, shrunk, broken then been fixed, and been battle tested over the years; it's ready for some refurbishment. We're looking for an experienced and resilient developer with tons of experience building software using the entire .NET family of products. We're not talking about building social networking or photo sharing software; we're talking about software that touches the real world, like printers, scanners, barcode readers, and more. Our customers find delight in our ability to take something physical and personal like mail and allow them to manage it like email. We build software that makes that happen.

While this journey does not have an end date, a year from your first day you may look back and have accomplished some of the following:

- pushed a major refactor of our communication layers (WCF)

- integrated a state-of-the-art high speed, high volume scanner into our delivery pipeline

- migrated our infrastructure from self-hosted SQL Server and Web Services to Azure

- broke apart a monolithic application into smaller stateless services

- written API documentation that inspired other developers to work on our platform

- redesigned projects to consume shared libraries through use of package management

- removed roadblocks and obstacles from the day-to-day activities of your peers who work with the mail all day, everyday

- improved the customers experience at least 52 times through iterative delivery by crafting user stories, conducting interviews, estimating tasks, sketching ideas, and discussing prioritization of items on our kanban board

- migrated non-strategic responsibilities to third-party services and partners; things like transactional emails, billing, message queues, sms, file hosting, etc.

- traveled for a week or two to work side by side with your peers in one of several remote offices
