Job Description

SR. PRODUCT / PROJECT MANAGER - FULLSCREEN DIRECT - CHICAGO, IL

 

We are looking for an accomplished Product/Project Manager hybrid to focus on our Fullscreen Direct division across mobile and web. This position in based in Chicago, IL.

This person will be responsible for shaping cutting-edge experiences for artists, creators and their fans. The Manager will uncover key insights and recommendations that increase usability and improve key metrics for end users, define requirements and be responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of high quality projects to meet established business requirements. The role is split 40% project management and 60% product management.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as product owner for key experiences driving innovation and shipping meaningful features iteratively

  • Define the user experience from whiteboard to user stories, working closely with product design, PMO, and engineering

  • Continuously study the industry and work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements

  • Collect input and feedback from customers and other external parties

  • Manage feature prioritization and trade-offs, balancing quick wins and platform investments

  • Prioritize projects through a lean product development cycle

  • Develop features to reach new customers through creative ideas and marketing strategies based on analysis, customer feedback, data, testing and ROI

  • Identify, implement and track KPIs, and turn findings into actionable tasks to help better serve users and business goals

  • Execute and maintain project management processes in an agile environment

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and milestones with the input and assistance of team leads

  • Oversee the areas of quality management, communications management, risk/issue management

  • Build strong communication channels with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams

  • Track tasks assigned to the project team and prepare regular status reports

  • Track project changes and producing updated schedules

  • Identify and manage interdependencies between applications, platforms, services, and environments

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-5 years of directly related experience launching web and mobile experiences, including progressive experience in a technology or internet oriented project management role

  • Strong working knowledge of project management tools

  • Proven track record of leading teams and projects to successful completion

  • Impeccable communication skills in all areas, including technical to communicate easily with engineers

  • Analytical problem solver with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risk

  • Experience collecting, querying, and exploring data from various sources (market research, internal data sources, web analytics, experiments, user research) to back up assumptions

  • Ability to go end-to-end designing, building, measuring, analyzing, and iterating

  • Strong project management skills, favoring lean and agile software methodologies

  • Comfort leading, directing, and completing work independently

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills combined with a decisive nature

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Economics, Marketing, or related field

  • Practiced Scrum methodology

  • Are a user experience practitioner with great work samples to prove it

  • Understanding of content and digital asset management systems

  • Familiarity with php, HTML and/or CSS

  • Familiarity with digital content creators across social platforms
