About The Position

This Staff Accountant's primary responsibility is to create daily journal entries and reconciliations—including cash application and accounts payable responsibilities. In addition, this role will be a primary contributor to G/L maintenance activities. The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing all accounting responsibilities on a timely basis in accordance with Raise’s accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily general ledger entries
  • Maintain accounting records and files
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to the subledger
  • Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures
  • Perform cash application and accounts payable responsibilities within the G/L system
  • Utilize the G/L and reporting systems to effectively record transactions
  • Elevate accounting and close issues to management as deemed necessary
  • Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as requested by the Controller or Accounting Manager

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • 0-1 years accounting experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, primarily Excel
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including meeting deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
  • CPA is a plus
