Vail Systems is looking to hire a detail-oriented, highly motivated individual that is excited about getting involved in an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base. As a Staff Accountant at Vail Systems your primary responsibilities will be to manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable for Vail and its subsidiaries.

Job Summary/Scope

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a range of general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting along with relevant work experience.

 

Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant at Vail Systems you will be expected to:

  • Prepare monthly invoicing of customers
  • Manage cash disbursements and payables
  • Manage cash receipts and receivables
  • Post inter-company transactions
  • Assist with month-end closing
  • Assist with year-end activities including 1099 reporting
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reports as needed
  • Perform certain contract administration activities

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
