Supply Chain Domain Analyst
The Supply Chain Domain Analyst will provide functional and technical support to users of the Supply Chain IT applications including Warehouse Management, Labor Management and Material Handling systems. The analyst will understand supply chain domain, processes and procedures associated with implementing and maintaining the supply chain systems. This role provides day to day support for operations, writes functional requirements, develops and implements test plans, and works with production issues. The analyst will serve as subject matter expert associated with the functional areas, understand common business analysis tools and methodologies, and be able to apply them to solve problems.
Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Performs diagnostics of problems, troubleshoot and develop technical solutions for systems problems
- Facilitates the process of gathering and documenting user/project requirements based on meetings with operations for communicating requirements to IT development
- Plans and executes analysis and implementation of effective and efficient systems and processes
- Gathers and interprets relevant data (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)
- Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals
- Investigates system problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions
- Guides in house development efforts with clear documentation of solution designs
- Works closely with IT Infrastructure team to determine technical needs for current and future systems
- Coordinates testing efforts of new functionality with Peapod QA department, creating system test plans and ultimately assisting with systems testing for completed system changes
- Takes an analytical approach to solving problems and organizing and completing work
- Participates in 24x7 on call support schedule
- Responsible for providing expertise and best practice recommendations to operations staff
- Participates in the creation and maintenance of configuration documents, troubleshooting quick guides and operational training guides
- Proactively looks for technical problems and measures performance trends over time
- Monitors Database performance
- Assists in the creation of dashboards for Service Delivery to monitor systems
- Must have a functional knowledge of fulfillment/picking systems, labor management, and replenishment processes
- Must be effective at transferring knowledge to super users and operations management
- Must have the ability to analyze current business processes and build current process model diagrams and make recommendations on changes to improve process
Desired Qualifications:
- Applications: Experience with picking, replenishment, and inventory management applications; OS: Unix/Linux/Windows; DB: Informix, strong SQL skills; Other: knowledge of web service architecture, data modeling experience, functional knowledge of a programming language
- Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent from four-year college preferred specifically in warehouse and logistics management or industrial engineering
- 3+ years related experience and/or training in Warehouse Management systems, IT Support, or a related field
