Who are you?

You are a driven sales exec, with experience in Local or SaaS sales management from an elite sales org. You know how to build, manage, and lead a high volume and multi-channel sales team that is working to provide merchants (big and small) with a world-class digital loyalty platform. While selling high tech from a company with top tier venture capital firm backing, you are still blue collar - and your team values results and hard work equally. You are ready to dive in, and not just oversee pitch, process, training, and development - but build it, lead it, and continuously improve it. You must be prepared (experienced) in growing your teams with a sophisticated hiring process. You must be a people leader - an inspirer, a motivator, a lead-by-example kind of executive. And lastly, you are someone that never forgets to laugh.

Reporting directly to the COO, the SVP/VP of Sales is responsible for the management of all SMB sales and channel operations. In this role you will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, CEO, and the Board of Directors of Belly.

What you will do:

  • Lead multiple sales channels including Outside, Inside, Inbound, and Account Management teams, within a fast-moving agile technology startup environment
  • Build, train and develop sales representatives and sales managers; mentor, deliver direction, and motivate to ultimately achieve maximum profitability and growth
  • Strategize and execute a plan to drive high volume of a low ticket SaaS platform
  • Work closely with HR/recruiting to scale teams efficiently with top talent
  • Develop training programs and processes that are recognized as industry leading, and support it with continuous education for the team
  • Ensure that Belly lives up to our core value of being the best ally for our merchant partners by consistently focusing on Merchant Success

Experience and Skills:

 What you need:

  • Successful career history that supports an intense passion for sales (10+ years total sales experience)
  • 5+ years experience selling into into the B2B local segment AND/OR selling a SaaS product
  • Track record building and scaling sales teams, across multiple channels, including Outside and Inside Sales
  • Proven process around extensive, effective training
  • Deep knowledge around hiring tactics, rapid hiring plans, and crafting hiring profiles
  • A data driven approach to decisions, yet a leadership style that prioritizes team motivation and engagement first
  • A blue collar work ethic in a white collar world or a player/coach mentality
  • A commitment to achieving excellence and driving results, but still be able to have fun and laugh a little.
