With our continuous global growth and expansion, we are seeking a talented Systems Administrator to join our Operations team.  The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing the uptime of our global network systems in a 24/7 production environment. You will work with a team that has a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude to make things happen and provide an excellent experience to our internal and external customers. Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day operations and management of production and development servers for critical M2M environment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues as necessary
  • Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software at multiple sites
  • Deploy physical and virtual servers, O/S and application patches/updates utilizing best practices
  • Maintain user accounts and email alias services
  • Implement data lifecycle requirements with backup and recovery support
  • Participate in planning and design of the server architecture for large scale, production quality services
  • Help design efficiencies through automation of routine tasks and increased systems deployment
  • System auditing and documentation
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years datacenter operations and administrative support position
  • Strong experience with multiple distributions (Solaris, Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc.)
  • Strong virtualization experience with (XEN, KVM, Zones)
  • Solid understanding and experience with enterprise storage (RAID,SAN FC, iSCSI, and NFS)
  • Solid understanding of standard networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, PXE, SMTP, NTP)
  • Experience with Sun/Oracle/HP/Cisco/EMC server and storage hardware platforms
  • Strong Hardware and software trouble shooting
  • Data lifecycle management with backup and recovery support
  • Strong hands on experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash
  • Experience with platform and application monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Big Brother and Zabbix
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with a precise attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks and projects to completion in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience with NetBackup and OpenStack is a plus
  • Knowledge of Kickstart/Nagios/Puppet/UCS Blade servers a PLUS
