About The Position

The Systems Engineer at Raise provides a broad range of technical support and participates in the planning, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of our corporate infrastructure. This includes application servers, routers, firewall, LAN, WAN, phone systems, printers, and both physical and remote workstations. You will help to manage our existing infrastructure as well as help us continue to scale. The ideal candidate will have the ability to come up with scalable solutions to resolve challenges and the technical ability to quickly put those ideas into action.

 Responsibilities

• Manage a mixed OS environment (Mac and Windows) to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Participate in design and maintenance of enterprise architecture, including software deployment, server patching, and system configuration.
• Be a great team player with a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to quickly prioritize various projects, tickets, and incidents in a fast-moving organization.
• Employ measures to harden Corporate infrastructure to improve security, while enabling employees to work as efficiently as possible.
• Assist in the day-to-day management of our other systems infrastructure and provide support, as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Engineer (startup or rapidly growing organizations a plus)
• Advanced level knowledge managing mixed OS infrastructure (Windows and Mac) – deployment, authentication, software management, and installation
• Knowledge of at least one enterprise virtualization platform (VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM)
• Experience with Cisco Meraki-based wireless networking
• Proficient with Powershell scripting or other automation technologies
• Experience with system monitoring using Nagios or similar tool
• Knowledge of Active Directory, RADIUS, Kerberos, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and other core networking services
• Ability to take abstract ideas and turn them into end-to-end technical solutions with proper supporting documentation
• Strong sense of ownership when it comes to uptime and stability of infrastructure
• Experience managing Linux at the command prompt is a plus!
