About the Opportunity:

The Talent Management and Organization Development Leader is a newly created and highly visible role that will develop and integrate GrubHub’s people and organization development strategy enterprise-wide. The position advances strategies and programs that develop GrubHub’s leadership, staff and organizational capabilities to enable the organization to execute its strategy and achieve its mission and business goals.


The primary areas of focus for the position include:

  • Employee Engagement/Culture Development – Create a clear strategy to elevate the engagement of the organization and help to define the culture to support the growth of the company
  • Leadership Development -Design a strategy to build a leadership development strategy to support leaders at all levels
  • Talent Management/High potential development – lead the talent management and development of high potential programs to identify and build the future bench of
  • Performance management – owns the design and development of the Performance management philosophy, communication and leadership and training to support a high value PM process that drives engagement and growth
  • Change leadership - sets the philosophy and standards for change leadership initiatives
  • Team effectiveness – identifies numerous team effectiveness programs to support all talent growth and training needs
  • Training strategy – lead the full training strategy and implements online, class room and all other training channels to create a training offering that supports the growth of the people and company goals.

Some Challenges You’ll Tackle:·     

  • Ability to collaborate with senior leadership in designing and facilitating talent planning process that ensures business continuity and helps to achieve talent goals
  • Proficient in assessing and developing competencies and standards for leaders at all levels of the organization and overseeing the delivery of leadership development programs enterprise-wide.
  • Ability to support GrubHub’s business and people strategies through the creation of people development programs and processes that leverage employees’ unique talents and motivate their sustained commitment to GrubHub’s success
  • Ability to translate business strategies into talent development opportunities through a stable curriculum that will meet GrubHub’s ongoing business needs.
  • Experience leading large scale cultural change in a highly complex organization undergoing a significant transformation.
  • Ability to be comfortable and effective in a fast-paced and solidly matrixed organizational environment that is both consensus- and mission-driven.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a hands-on manner, adjusting to issues as needed in a dynamic work environment. The ability to prioritize and effectively anticipate and respond to issues as they arise.

You Should Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organization Development, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field is required. A Master’s is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of talent management and organization development gained from ten or more years of progressively responsible experience developing or leading this function in a multi-disciplinary organization.
