What is SORC'D

Sorc’d provides a single destination to Save, Share, and Discover snippets of information that are important to you.  We are providing users a tool to become infinitely more intelligent about subjects they are interested.   Our platform will enable users to maintain all snippets they are interested while creating a central research center for others to benefit.

What we need

Technical co-founder / lead engineer willing to join with an equity only role

Experience building and maintaining SAAS platform

Experience with complex user profiles (think github)

Ability to understand business rules and produce amazing results (ability to interpret my banter into a working product)

Strong background in PHP & Browser extensions

Experienced project manager

What you will do

support and scale a technology stack and optimize for speed at which engineering delivers product.

Define and implement our product roadmap.

Create culture, set up recruiting strategies, implement process to allow scale and, ultimately, create the best engineering organization in the market.

Continually improve and optimize the product development process.

Work closely with current founders to ensure the technology platform is evolving to meet company needs.

Set the technical direction for the team, drive the evolution of the systems architecture, and make appropriate technology choices.

Set and manage expectations, communicate and execute goals within timelines.

Skills / Experience

5+ years of experience managing a world-class engineering team in a rapidly growing environment.

Experience leading the development of successful products.

Ability to inspire others through conviction of clearly defined vision.

Background in object oriented development and solid familiarity with the following technologies: .NET, HTML5, JavaScript, databases (SQL, Graph, NoSQL), big data technologies and approaches, cloud hosting (Azure, AWS, RedShift)

History of strong leadership and driving change with the ability to maintain collaborative culture and build team loyalty.

Previously managed, mentored, motivated and grew a mature and goal-driven engineering team.

Track record of establishing processes and best practices that allow for the core technology stack to be scalable, flexible, and supportive of rapid feature development.

Capable of handling development of multiple applications/projects simultaneously.
