 About Narrative Science

Narrative Science is the leader in Advanced NLG for the enterprise. Its Quill™ platform, an intelligent system, analyzes data from disparate sources, understands what is interesting and important, then automatically generates perfectly written narratives to convey the right meaning from the data for any intended audience, at machine scale. It excels where data visualizations fall short: it identifies and conveys relevant information in conversational language that people can immediately comprehend, trust, and act on.

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our Product team who is excited to work on revolutionary technology and help shape the future of the company. We're a group of passionate individuals working together on game-changing technology—and having a lot of fun while doing so. Our core values are ingrained in everything we do, from how we develop our technology to how we interact with customers to how we hire people.

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for defining user stories and features for our platform. This includes the requirements for a user to define data analytics with respect to language components, vetting data tools for potential integrations with the core platform, and other enterprise software features. This role will work with leading edge technologies and a world-class engineering team to deliver new features that delight our users.

Successful candidates will have a strong background in gathering user requirements, prioritizing roadmaps, and working with a cross-functional team to deliver a first-class user experience. Standout applicants will have an innate understanding and passion for technology and be interested in applying it to create innovative solutions.

    • Define primary users, use cases, and epics for a feature set
    • Perform research and competitive analysis on competition and complementary toolsets from a technical perspective
    • Be an expert on the user needs for your functional area
    • Use data and user feedback to identify areas of constraint or unnecessary complexity within the user interface; create recommendations on how to address these areas
    • Interface with Customers, Sales, Product, Marketing, and our Professional Services teams as necessary to gather feedback and insight on user needs

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical product owner or product analyst role
  • Proven track record of delivering products from conception through launch
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Reporting and Data Analysis technologies such as SPSS, R, SQL, or other analysis tool is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a liaison between stakeholders and engineering teams
  • Bachelor’s degree; focus in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or related field a plus
  • Collaborative nature with ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong degree of resiliency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
