What We Do: 

At Uptake, we help industrial giants realize new revenue streams and optimized operations through our proprietary data platform. For the first time, industry can now fully use data to create new business models, change the way they manage their operations, and ensure their assets and business operations throughout the world are operating at peak performance. As a data platform technical product manager you will have the key responsibility of identifying and executing data platform product features.

What You'll Do: 

• Provide business and technical understanding of integrating data into the platform
• Work with business stakeholders to ensure business value is translated effectively
• Manage user stories, prioritization, and roadmap
• Work with development managers and coaches to ensure engineering teams are positioned for success

Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Management Information Systems, Information Management, Statistics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager
• 5+ years of experience with designing and implementing distributed data systems, data ingestion processes, ETL/ELT frameworks
• Analytics and Data Science Background
• Experience building platforms is a plus
• Functional understanding of modern big data technologies (Kafka, Spark, ElasticSearch)
• Experience with defining operational and analytical data structures
• Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional organization
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
