POSITION SUMMARY
The primary objective for a bswift technical writer is to assist in writing and publishing system user guides for internal and external audiences, both in print form and online. The Technical Writer will work with the documentation team and the Product Management team to accurately document current and new site functionality. Additionally, the technical writer is a key contributor to developing and distributing materials used to educate internal and external users on bswift system functionality.

An exceptional attention to detail is necessary. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment. Resourcefulness and the ability to follow through on commitments with minimal supervision are required. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships in a cross-functional team environment, will be receptive to detailed feedback, and be equally comfortable working individually and with a small team of other writers.

Fundamental Components:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Working with internal staff to ensure documentation such as user guides and process flows are properly defined and documented for both internal and external audiences
Testing system functionality to ensure that it is documented correctly
Managing and maintaining existing user guides
Updating documentation based on program enhancements
Developing and distributing materials used to educate internal and external users on bswift functionality
Soliciting feedback on documentation from internal and external stakeholders
Maintaining an index of release notes and content 
Updating the bswift Community website with documentation and training guides

Writing sample will be requested as part of the application/interview process

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong analytical skills to test and accurately document functionality
Ability to conduct training sessions with enthusiasm
Strong proficiency with PCs and command of Microsoft Office
Experience with MadCap Flare/online publishing software preferred
Experience with technical or educational script writing preferred

EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
