Aeris Communications is seeking a Quality Assurance leader with a strong background in software quality, test automation, platform architecture and a deep understanding of technology.                                                                                                             

In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced engineering team collaborating with other quality assurance engineers, developers and product management.  The Quality Assurance Lead will participate in all stages of the agile life cycle and be responsible for establishing the QA best practices and standards and driving test automation.

The right person must have a solid understanding of platform testing, test automation, UI concepts, and must have hands-on experience building test automation for the complete stack: front end, backend, web services, and database layers.  This is a great position where you will be making a direct impact in the development of our market-leading IoT / M2M solutions while working and learning from top talent in this booming industry!

Responsibilities:

  • Drive test automation concepts, QA best practices and standards across multiple engineering teams
  • Partner with technical leadership to develop and optimize software development processes
  • Mentor, grow and provide direction to QA and automation engineers
  • Work within agile development teams to deliver robust, high performing platform features
  • Build test plans, scripts and other documentation for software platform solutions
  • Monitor product defects and maintains quality assurance documentation
  • Ensure integrity, performance and reliability of platform
  • Develop benchmarking automated tests to ensure platform performance
  • Light travel as needed to other Aeris locations and potentially to customer locations

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • 10+ years of quality assurance engineering experience required
  • 4+ years experience working in a leadership capacity
  • Extensive experience building automated tests and automated testing platforms
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful services
  • Previous experience with Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, etc.
  • Strong history of capturing and reporting on testing and automation metrics
  • Working knowledge of utilizing testing frameworks; Selenium is a plus
  • Knowledge of Agile and working with Agile process is required
  • Ability to work independently with customers, proactive, self-starter and self-managed
  • Strong written and verbal skills

Nice to Have:

  • Telecom-related product experience
  • Experience testing mobile applications
  • Familiarity with fleet tracking solutions and platforms
  • Previous experience working with geographically distributed teams
