The Position: 
Leapfrog Online is seeking a Test Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of junior Software Engineers while owning the vision for Leapfrog’s Automated Testing Platform. Our Test Engineers are responsible for developing, implementing, and executing both manual and automated test plans for web-based applications and associated support programs created for Leapfrog Online business units. The team also documents and monitors operations of those same applications from a technical performance perspective. Scrum is practiced in all of our development teams, and we expect the Test Engineering Manager to have 2+ years of previous experience in Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities: 
- Providing technical leadership, career development and mentoring for a team of Test Engineers and serving as the practice lead for test automation
- Driving the development of our portfolio of automated test services
- Building a collaborative working relationship with Software Engineering, Product Management, and Technology Operations
- Being an evangelist for testing and the automated testing platform to both internal and external clients
- Conducting research on the latest test tools, trends, and methodologies
- Participating in project planning to review user stories, wireframes, and product specifications, anticipating necessary test plans and operational processes
- Working with Software and System Engineers to triage platform issues
- Monitoring and executing automated and manual regularly-scheduled processes necessary for application operations

Qualifications: 
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science
- 2-5 years experience relating to software testing for high-traffic web platforms
- Proven experience building and managing an engineering team as a servant leader
- Recent experience in Python, Ruby, PHP or Perl, and preferably some SQL; HTML and JavaScript expertise a plus
- Practical experience with software development, especially testing, quality assurance, and operational support phases. Exposure to Selenium (including Selenium Grid)
- Experience with other automated testing tools, mobile device testing, continuous integration tools, source control management tools, documentation tools and system monitoring tools
