With the advent of genomic sequencing, we can finally understand our genetic makeup. We now have more data than ever before but providers don't have the infrastructure or expertise to make sense of said data. Here at Tempus, we are building the infrastructure to modernize cancer treatment. By analyzing a patient’s genetic data in the context of molecular therapies, Tempus empowers physicians to make real-time data-driven decisions in clinic based on the comprehensive computational analysis of a patient’s unique pathology.
We're on a mission to connect an entire ecosystem to redefine how genomic data is used in clinical settings. We're looking for designers who are passionate about changing the status quo and bringing cancer care into the 21st century.
What You'll Do:
As a Visual UI Designer, you will be responsible for designing the user interface for our products. We're looking for a passionate designer to help us translate complex genomic data concepts into our platform for our clinical users. You should be an excellent communicator, a self-starter, and comfortable working closely with developers, product management, data scientists, etc. The ideal candidate will be a product-focused individual who has an eye for SAAS design, thrives working iteratively, and who can make an effortless experience for non-technical individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Design user interfaces to communicate personalized insights to physicians and clinicians on cancer cases
- Collaborate with engineers, computational biologists, data scientists, and other designers in an Agile environment to deliver an enterprise-grade product
- Create advanced data visualizations to identify signal from noise in large data sets
We’re looking for:
- A portfolio showcasing command of visual design principles, especially around typography, iconography, information hierarchy, responsive design and data visualization
- 1 to 2 years of real-world UI design experience for web applications
- Experience with Sketch and Invision
- Experience with data visualization
- A great sense of aesthetic, the ability to make complex ideas accessible, and the passion to articulate and stand up for personal ideas
- Experience in agile environments and comfort with quick iterations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willing to shift priorities seamlessly
- Intellectual curiosity to pursue the unknown and to continuously learn
- A personal desire to build products that will save lives and change the course of cancer treatment
