Job Description

The Senior UI Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and following standards-based CSS, HTML, and JavaScript using Microsoft Visual Studio or other Web Development Tools. This person will turn wireframes and visual design concepts into compelling responsive front-end designs. You will frequently collaborate with a cross-functional team including creative design, user experience, project management, and back end development.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, maintaining, and following standards-based CSS, HTML, jQuery and JavaScript using MS Visual Studio 
  • Working with User Experience team members and .NET Developers through the stages of design, development, QA, launch, and maintenance 
  • Translating detailed designs and user experience descriptions into front-end code that’s responsive, mobile, and cross-browser compatible 
  • Providing direction on the best web and UI frameworks to leverage for implementing the required design such as Bootstrap, Skeleton, jQuery, and LESS/SASS
  • Helping solve branding issues in integration of HTML and CSS into packaged products or SAAS solutions
  • Ensuring that the integrity of designs, branding elements, and user experience standards are maintained throughout development 
  • Producing working prototypes that explore new approaches to UI design and WOW customers
  • Documenting best practices for maintaining front-end code 
  • Working with Project Managers, providing a list of branding objectives and estimating work/hour estimates for these objectives

Nice to Have

  • 3+ years’ experience with HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript required
  • SEO Experience a plus
  • Exposure to Web Content Management and Collaboration solutions such as Sitecore/EpiServer/SharePoint a plus!
  • A passion for detail, finding that perfect solution and understanding of how the problem was solved

Extra Credit

  • Adding examples of your work to your resume and/or application.
  • Demonstrate prior consulting experience.
  • Exposure to project management experiences is a plus.
  • Familiarity working within a .NET environment.

Willingness to travel to clients located throughout the metro area on a regular basis and a willingness for occasional travel to client sites located throughout the United States on an occasional basis.

Required Education

Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent work experience
