What you’ll be doing:
- Helping to build a new web product from scratch
- Enhancing the capabilities and feature sets of our existing properties
- Developing front-end applications to consume data over web services
- Working with the VP of Engineering to shape our engineering team and culture
You should be:
- A talented problem solver who takes pride in designing high quality solutions to difficult problems
- A pixel-perfectionist using HTML5 and CSS3
- A guru of at least one frontend framework (Foundation, Bootstrap, etc)
- Proficient in JavaScript and JQuery
- A master of responsive design
- A version control junkie
- A fan of agile (Scrum in particular)
- Familiar with test-driven development
- Mystery box averse
- Eager to learn new things and experiment
- Passionate.
You get bonus points for:
- An advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another STEM field.
- Experience with modern JS UI frameworks like AngularJS or Knockout
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or TravisCI
- Experience with automated test frameworks like Selenium and Grunt
- Node.js familiarity
