UX Product Designer

Do you have a passion for engaging with users? Can you build a cohesive, beautiful user experience from complex datasets, multiple user personas, and customer insights?

Working within the product development team and our agile development framework, you will work hand-in-hand with product managers, analysts, visual designers and the development team to deliver innovative and differentiated products to market. You will represent and nurture the Voice of the Customer (VoC) driving the product line and business forward with both tactical and strategic improvements to the overall user experience. 

Responsibilities

• Champion UX methodologies, practices, and policies with the overarching goal of providing an excellent user experience
• Bring empathy, enthusiasm, and motivation to every interaction
• Develop desktop and mobile user interfaces that are clean, easy and intuitive, which incorporate the latest technologies, user feedback, and UX best practices
• Create, implement and communicate visual design and user interface standards to internal product and development team members as well as project stakeholders
• Use journey mapping, storyboarding, user scenario development, and user and task analysis to capture and develop user interaction requirements
• Embrace responsive design usability standards
• Create, evaluate and modify high and low fidelity prototypes and wireframes to support market research and help drive the front end development process
• Design and develop usability testing plans
• Develop, introduce, and implement a repeatable and sustainable UX process
• Communicate effectively across the organization, from developer to executive

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of real-world UX/UI design for web, desktop or mobile
• Strong knowledge of web, mobile and interactive design principles including layout, grid systems, information design, responsive design and typography
• A strong portfolio that shows a variety of successful web/mobile application solutions, including interactive design, concept development and communication
• Degree or certification in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or similar design or technical field, or equivalent work experience
• Passionate about designing clean, intuitive interfaces with knowledge of current best practices
• Ability to work both at a strategic and tactical level with a broad understanding of the business drivers for design deliverables
• Demonstrated experience in using usability testing to formulate UX design decisions
• A good understanding of CSS or HTML driven interactive applications
• Experience with wireframing/prototyping tools (Axure, Balsamiq, or equivalent)
• Experience with Sketch/Illustrator and/or Photoshop (or equivalent)
• A great sense of aesthetic, the ability to make complex ideas accessible, and the passion to articulate and stand up for personal ideas
• Experience in agile environments and comfort with quick iterations
