The Mx Group is seeking a senior-level, “transformational” VP of marketing who can help drive our organization to the next level of growth and marketing excellence. A leading B2B digital and demand generation agency, we empower companies with the competitive edge of modern B2B marketing by integrating a broad set of services: 1) marketing strategy, 2) design and content, 3) demand generation and lead management and 4) web and app development. And we make it all work together so that companies attract, convert and retain more customers.

About the role:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside other leaders of the organization to achieve our top-level marketing goals, including:

  • Drive agency growth through content marketing programs and an integrated media mix

  • Building positive awareness of The Mx Group brand

  • Advancing thought leadership in key service areas

  • Generating a consistent pipeline of qualified sales leads

  • Establish our marketing function as a best practice example of modern marketing for industry and client showcase

Specific top-level responsibilities:

  • Development and execution of an overall corporate marketing plan and brand strategy

  • Development of service offering marketing strategies and tactics, such as voice of customer research, persona and buy cycle insights, content and tools development, market activation / lead generation and lead nurturing and management

  • Management of <strongand / or participation in key areas of marketing activity, including speaking engagements, thought leadership and content development, public relations, website content, search optimization, media planning, database development and maintenance, marketing automation and lead management planning, sales support and proposal development, and marketing metrics and program optimization

  • Management of corporate marketing team

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years in a B2B marketing environment

  • Demonstrated strategy, planning and management skills

  • Senior-level thinking, communication and collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team and multiple simultaneous programs to achieve qualitative and quantitative results

  • Experience with driving a sales pipeline and the provision of “sales-ready” leads

  • Experience with demand generation, marketing automation, CRM and lead management best practices

  • Experience with digital marketing methods, tools and analytics
