Vice President, Solutions
With the ascendance of mobile computing and the explosion of communication options it has enabled — from traditional voice calling and toll-free IVR and SMS to native mobile app and mobile web experiences to emerging conversational chat and intelligent assistant platforms — consumers increasingly have more choice than ever when deciding how to engage their service providers. Improvements in speech recognition accuracy, artificial intelligence, and the mainstream adoption of speech-enabled consumer platforms provided by Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, and Google are opening up new business and advanced technology opportunities.

As we grow to meet increasing client demand and expand our product offerings Versay Solutions is seeking an experienced technology professional to build and manage our core application solutions team. This is a high-profile position that will be best filled by someone who has experience with traditional enterprise contact centers and telephony-related technologies, especially in a cloud context. These technologies include but are not limited to: IVR and call routing platforms, (natural language) speech recognition, SIP/RTP VoIP networks, voice biometrics, and web services. The ideal candidate will also have experience and a clearly-defined point-of-view on emerging omni-channel and cross-channel service design strategies and related software architectures and tools so that we may continue to drive innovation in the enterprise customer care space.

This role also requires the ability to distill and translate one’s technical expertise when consulting directly with clients and guiding them through architectural and technology solution decisions based on their unique needs and goals. We are seeking someone who appreciates the intrinsic value of excellent experience design, demonstrates a sustained commitment to meaningful, quality work, and is motivated by exceeding customer expectations. Job Responsibilities 

  • Build Versay’s technical team
  • Drive software design and implementation of highly-scalable speech-enabled enterprise voice applications and supporting web application solutions and products
  • Provide accurate and realistic estimates of engineering effort for custom client projects and iterative product development
  • Learn the ins and outs of cloud-based application managed services and share production support responsibilities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including cx design, project and product management, platform architecture and development, operations, reporting and analytics, software tools, and quality assurance
  • Mentor junior team members

Job Requirements 

  • BSCS with 10 years of experience or MSCS with 5 years of experience
  • Prior professional experience with Java, .NET, Ruby, or other OO languages
  • Solid software architecture and design principles
  • Proven understanding of established and emerging application software frameworks and the confidence to choose the right combination yielding the greatest long-term benefit
  • Consultative, solutions-focused thinking
  • Strong communication skills, both in client-facing contexts and team leadership roles
  • Curious about emerging software industry trends and committed to pushing best practices forward
