ParkWhiz is seeking an Interaction Designer to creatively convey its message as it grows its industry leading position in the eParking market. ParkWhiz is on the verge of becoming a large consumer brand and this is an opportunity to shape the way the world sees the service. This position is part of the product team, involved in all aspects of design, and will have considerable influence in how the company creates impactful visuals and engaging experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Create visually stimulating experiences that will be instantly recognizable, and set ParkWhiz apart from the competition.
  • Leverage an advanced understanding of technology, user interface design and visual design to generate a flawless presentation of ParkWhiz’s web, mobile app and partner experiences that is appealing and delightful to ParkWhiz customers.
  • Create a competitive advantage through differentiating the ParkWhiz aesthetic from other online and mobile experiences.
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer experience, account management, sales, and product team at different levels to build new products/features that speak directly to the ParkWhiz audience.
  • Consistently deliver and advocate world class design, never settling for a “so-so” look or experience.
  • Drive brand/messaging consistency across all channels.
  • Empathize with the customer and visualize their story.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional digital design portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking, dynamic user experiences, data driven mindset and a knack for integrated experiences with a mobile-first mind set.
  • Ability to rapidly produce great results, independently manage and prioritize work effectively, and proactively escalate workload conflicts.
  • Ability to work in a wide range of visual styles and transform high level visions into complete and well thought out experiences.
  • Exceptional skill in typography, layout, and general design
  • Must understand, and be considerate of, technology requirements and design experiences that complement and/or inform the technical strategy up front.
  • Proven self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment with short feedback loops.
  • 5-7 years experience in design experience, preferably in a highly-regarded consumer facing organization.
  • A strong sense of urgency and drive.
  • Strong written and verbal skills. Able to clearly tell a story and how it serves the customer.
  • Strong Mobile design experience, and understanding native application as well as responsive web design possibilities and limitations.
