The Head of Product Management at NowSecure has accountability for commercializing the company’s mobile security products. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Product will establish the product management function, own the roadmap, “go to market” strategy, be the voice of the customer and contribute to the overall leadership and management of the business as a senior member of the executive team.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned Product Management leader who has had previous experience launching and supporting preferably a SaaS or enterprise product to the B2B market. While we have a preference for the position being based in Oak Park candidates in other locations will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Create NowSecure’s  product management function …

  • Assess current PM capabilities and define the basic structure of the group.
  • Build an exceptional team– recruit, retain and develop a core product management group.
  • Drive product delivery through close collaboration with peers.

Deliver products with potential for scale …

  • Identify scalable market opportunities which leverage NowSecure’s existing competitive advantages - intellectual property, successful services track record and deep customer relationships.
  • Channel world class thinking in the area of mobile security into great products

Prioritize development of features, functionality and solutions to  align with customer demand and the potential for financial impact.

Execution …

  • Identify and clearly communicate key performance metrics -implement processes for measuring success.
  • Financial objectives, release/development schedules and milestones.
  • Development and constant refinement of  product management processes.

Product Marketing …

  • Lead marketing associated with product / release launches
  • Lead the creation of training materials, white papers, case, and studies, thought leadership pieces.

Be the voice of the customer and marketplace  …

  • Regularly meet with customers to understand product feedback and gain insight into potential use cases.
  • Drive communication of market feedback to engineering regarding product features, functionality and enhancements.
  • Be visible in the market – attend conferences and industry events.

Experience / Qualifications:

Functional expertise...

  • Previous successful experience leading Product Management teams in connection with enterprise class complex software applications, including SaaS products.
  • Proven ability to successfully launch new products into a new category.
  • Previous accountability for financial performance of a product.
  • Ability to implement a  “battle tested” product management methodology
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills to both internal and external stakeholders including board-level presentation experience.
  • Ability to effectively engage with customers and partners – communicate product strategy and gather/interpret market feedback.
  • Ability to understand the ROI of a given project and effectively communicate the information across the company.
  • Successful track record leading  /  managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Previous experience as part of the executive team of a company of an early stage company

Domain expertise

  • Previous successful tenure in the one or more of the following categories: SaaS Applications, Wireless Communications, Data Security
  • Previous experience in the area of mobile software security is desirable
  • Maintain a well-established network and be perceived as an industry expert.
  • A social media presence evidenced by a relatively up to date blog or twitter account.

Our headquarters are located in the Chicago Loop, standing at the foot of the busy LaSalle Street canyon. Our office is located in an art deco-style skyscraper with a pinnacle statue of Ceres, Chicago's tallest building from 1930 to 1965. Easy access to great restaurants and rooftop views!
