JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a talented writer who can write engaging, visual scripts one day and compelling web and social copy the next. This person would be expected to dive head-first into our clients’ worlds to better understand the mission of the video project in order to write an effective and impactful script. On top of that, they’d be expected to contribute to our website content between client work...if it sounds like a lot of writing, that’s because it is.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Create compelling scripts and concepts based off creative briefs, client conversations, and independent research
2. Be open and receptive to client feedback, but willing to push for creative vision
3. Provide visual insight and ideas to storyboard artist
4. Effectively communicate ideas and questions during client meetings
5. Work on multiple client projects at once and stay organized
6. Balance and prioritize client and internal content projects
7. Partner with Creative Lead to star projects with momentum
8. Identify compelling blog topics and craft content accordingly
9. Perform copywriting work as needed for blog, social, and various other internal initiatives
10. Flexibility to chip in wherever we need help

• 1-3 years of professional writing experience
• Creative writing experience with a sense of humor
• Proficient in GSuite
• Experience with video scripting/content is a plus
• Ability to work quickly and under pressure
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate visual ideas to team and clients accurately and efficiently
• Self motivated with strong project management skills
• Ability to identify the spelling mistake within this job description
• BA/BS/MBA in English, Creative Writing, or related field
