Introduction
I spent the first ten years of my professional career with the likes of PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM before finding my calling in the world of startups. Years of night and weekend hustle and self-taught web development produced multiple companies, one exit and ultimately an Entrepreneur in Residence position with Chicago-based venture capital firm Lightbank.
Since leaving Lightbank in 2011 to pursue my startups full-time, I've raised nearly $1.5MM in venture capital across multiple rounds from Lightbank, I2A, New World Ventures and several prominent angel investors. In December 2012, my company, DealsGoRound, was acquired by Betterfly.
I thrive in the early stages of a company. Hard work and learning is my addiction. My work has been covered in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, USA Today and many other prominent media outlets. I've been very fortunate in my opportunities and I feel an obligation to extend a hand to anyone stuck in corporate America who knows they don't belong there.
