Syndigo’s engineering team is looking for a software engineer who knows Microsoft C# and .NET core to join the team in our office in Nashville, TN, Brookfield, WI, Chicago, IL or Lisle, IL (well-qualified from other parts of the United States are welcome to apply and may be considered on a fully remote basis).  This role will require a background in API development, integration and maintenance, along with experience writing automated unit tests inside the code.  The projects the software engineer will primarily focus on developing and maintaining functionality to import and export feeds. It is expected that this role will work with cross-functional teams such as QA, Product and Project Management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop and enhance data imports and exports supporting file formats such as Delimited text, Excel, Access, XML, JSON etc. Troubleshooting and bug fixes to existing imports and exports.
• Design, develop and enhance REST APIs. Troubleshoot and bug fixes to existing APIs.
• Integrate with external and internal systems through web services, micro services, APIs and messaging as well as use Microsoft cloud technologies such as Azure blob storage, service bus etc..
• Use tools such as Postman to send REST and SOAP API requests, automated testing.
• Implement configurable data mappings and transformation layer.
• Be a part of larger development team and interface with Product, Project, DevOps and QA teams.
• Use Agile and Kanban methodologies for SDLC. Maintain work backlog through JIRA.
• Collaborate with team members across multiple geographic locations as well as time zones.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of professional experience in developing software using relevant technologies
• C# and .NET core, JSON, XML
• API development, integration and maintenance through C# and .NET core
• Import and Export feeds development and maintenance through C# and .NET core
• Microservices
• Web services
• Data transmission through messages, FTP file transfer, Amazon S3
• Experience with development in cloud computing environment – Microsoft Azure
• Experience with blob storage, service bus, durable messaging etc.
• Git and Gitlab
