Epsilon Machine Learning Engineering group is looking for a talented team player in a Senior Software Engineering role. The Machine Learning Engineering team is responsible for integrating machine learning capabilities into our Epsilon PeopleCloud suite of marketing SaaS offerings, specifically focused on Email, Loyalty, and CRM SaaS solutions. You will be part of a product engineering team comprised of software developers and data scientists that are researching and building automated, repeatable segmentation, predictive modeling and recommendation solutions that directly impact the marketing performance of our clients leveraging the PeopleCloud product suite.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will apply your technical knowledge and expertise as a senior member of the team, collaborating with our data science and product team leads to define then deliver cloud native integrated solutions and services across the Epsilon People Cloud ecosystem. You will design and build highly dynamic, data-driven web solutions.
What you'll do

  • Build Web components as per the Epsilon's style guides specified by the UX team.
  • Implement new features for Epsilon's products by quickly and efficiently transforming mockups into fully functional user interface integrated with backend business application components.
  • Bridge the gap between user interface design and technical implementation
  • Work alongside UX team to ensure style guide components are accurately represented across products
  • Collaborate with other development teams to develop a strategy that enables a great user experience
  • Continuously research new and best coding practices


The skills you'll need

  • Demonstrated mastery of Angular 12, React v18.0 and Typescript.
  • Proficient working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Experience with node.js and NPM/YARN to building, package and maintaining user interface.
  • Working knowledge of Karma for writing test for user interface.
  • Passion for user experience and user-centric development
  • Strong communication skills that include leading design-related conversations, ability to build and nurture good relationships and foster an environment for collaboration
  • Self-starter and passionate learner
  • Creative problem-solver with a strong eye for detail
  • Strong team player who is able to self-manage time and deliverables proactively
  • Experience with version and source control, preferably Git or bit-bucket


Other skills we'd like

  • Experience working in an Agile team structure
  • Experience working alongside UX team


Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering or Statistics
  • 8+ years of software development experience preferably hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting web-based applications
  • Deep knowledge of Angular fundamental concepts, design and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of React and Typescript.
  • Strong object-oriented software development background
  • Applied experience building APIs or services (e.g. RESTful services)
  • Applied experience using unit and integration test frameworks
  • Expertise with GIT or other source code repositories
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate solutions in terms of technical and functional design documents.
