Centro came in hot at number 28, with the report highlighting various company perks that appeal to its millennial workforce. From free yoga classes and retirement advice to 10 “Ferris Bueller Days” that allow employees to play hooky for whatever reason, Centro is the highest-ranking Chicago company on the list.

“We appreciate the recognition from Fortune," said Centro's COO Leo Brubaker. "At Centro, we love the energy we get from our team every day, and Millennials are a big part of that. We have big plans for the future and we believe that taking care of our people is the most important thing we can do to get there.”

At number 92, Solstice Mobile proves it’s one of the best places in the country for young people to work. Solstice mobile boasts a 90-day mentor program for all new hires, weekly meetups called “think and drinks,” and the opportunity to win a $100 gift card—known internally as the weekly “awesomeness award.”

"We’re honored to be listed amongst such great companies, especially since it came from the voice of our own employees," said Solstice's Chicago managing director, Marisa Mann. "Our strength is our people, especially in an industry that is rapidly evolving, and we value and continue to invest in a culture that allows our team to learn, grow and have fun at the same time."

Chicago-based consulting firm West Monroe Partners ranked at 56, while Hyatt Hotels was recognized at 86.

Fortune’s recognition is based on research that comes from working millennials themselves. The company surveyed close to 90,000 millennials across the country in order to collect data for the list.

According to Solstice, the survey asked millennial employees to rate their overall company culture by scoring a number of different factors. Those factors include access to special recognition and professional development, fairness of promotions and pay practices, the level of respect they receive in the workplace, and how comfortable millennials are with being themselves at work, among others.
